Project Description
In collaboration with civil society leaders, the assignment was designed to raise awareness and build capacity at the county, sub-county, and ward levels on matters of rural financial inclusion. Through a series of training and sensitization sessions, community members were equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to strengthen their participation in local financial systems and promote sustainable economic growth within their communities.
A key component of the assignment focused on supporting the establishment and strengthening of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs). These efforts were complemented by initiatives to digitize financial records and services, enhancing transparency, accuracy, and accessibility. By integrating digital tools into the operations of VSLAs, the project aimed to improve their efficiency and accountability, ultimately contributing to stronger, more inclusive rural financial ecosystems in alignment with World Vision’s commitment to empowering communities and reducing poverty.
